    Anyone used Pastidip?

Im considering spraying my race bike with matte black plastidip, its a rubber type product that you spray. For my application im going to use that Preval spraying system cause I'm a punter...

Any thoughts? Might just try it on the tail of the bike. Would be going over gelcoated fibreglass..

    cheers

Done some more reading, apparently stone chips just rip through it. Not suitable for high wear parts so I think it's out before it even begun :P

Anyone think this will work to re-coat some body trim that has/had a rubber like OEM finish? It's roof rails I'm thinking about, they're a stainless steel strip coated in a rubber/plastic stuff that clip over the roof to side panel seams.

New strips are mega $$ and made from an alloy of unobtainium. Current strips I could sand off old coating and spray/roll on new coat as they're perfect except for coating.

Trying to do it with preval would be turbo retarded.

They use an eager beaver type rig in the vids I have seen.

Uncle used it recently on his Datsun from spray cans though. I'd be keen to see what people think of it, seems like it might be an option for the wooshodore etc.

Yeah, Uncles Datto was what got me thinking about it for the trim bits.

At the moment a $30 can is looking a lot better than $900+ that I can so far only find through some Russian supplier for two bits of trim.

I used the spraycans to re-coat the window trims on one of my project cars, stripped the old cracked/flaking rubber off the stainless and gave them a bunch of coats. I'm impressed with the paint.
