Short motor freshen up complete. All ring gaps mint except one that was 5 thou bigger than the rest, weird to have one ring out of the pack slightly different. Convertor turned up today, and picke up all the paint supplies, valve springs and headgaskets tomorrow. Going to make a good start on the body work tonight. Need to do something about finding a bonnet shortly to

didnt happen to pick up from the converter shop? sent the nopics in to pick up ours and the invoice says toyo/lexus

ours is a jza80 one which i assume would be the same as the uz one anyway...

either way if yours isnt correct to what you ordered we might have yours and you might have ours...

they said there was multiple converters for scott at the shop today and 2 of them were a340 ones...

Oh shit haha, will check tonight. They rang this morning and I got them to courier mine over, did not really have a good look at it.

Got the brakes all plumbed up and bled to, had to adjust the reverse mounted master cylinder as the throw was to short. Stops now do that's one more thing off the list.

well i didnt intend to refit until the weekend at the earliest but that being said im not sure ide be able to tell an difference in it anyway now its been sprayed white

Engine is together. Gearbox now has a modded valve body. Body work is killing me but on schedule to have painted rolling shell by end of this week. It won't be perfect but it will do.

I applied a light coat of bamboo last night so i can see where i need to sand some more. Unfortunately it seems the flu has got a hold of me. Hopefully i only lose a couple of nights.

Started to paint this early tonight and into the 2nd coat the temperature dropped, damn it, need to get 2 more litres of paint and try again

Round 2 paint application went a bit better, bit dry due to no working air regulator and having to spray at 60 psi. Looks like it will sand and buff ok, hopefully the clear does not go cloudy on me as it was still fairly cold in the shop.

Ordered one of these last week for it, should look different

It's just a pro boost gt42, comp cover is just painted.

Got the shell painted and roughly buffed so re assembly can begin. Hopefully starting with engine in tonight
