    2012 Phillip Island 6 Hour

A few pics from the Phillip Island 6 hour event.

Won yesterday by Autocure Motorsport with a couple of PF members on board and a few more floating around the paddock

Adam's VL complete with PF decals..

My VB built for the rain... not.

    Adam fine tuning ride heights

Me (on the right) showing Cam how Adam's not scoring enough bonus laps...

Mark (cured5.7) has a tyre blowout one T2 exit and proceeds to drive straight off T3, into the kitty litter smashing his spoiler. But could have been far worse..

    The damage.

    The Trophies
    VB Commo Lap Times - Winton 1:36.18 / Sandown 1:24.43 / Calder 1:05.74 / Phillip Island 1:52.33 / Haunted Hills 1:00.30 / Bathurst 2:39:52

I agree with whatever Mark Webber just said.

What a good day , after giving budge shite for 4 years he stepped up and smashed them in the first session which got us to 1st spot . After that ray , cam , mark and myself just had to keep the bonus points rolling in and it was a battle between one of the nsw mx5 teams as we swapped 1st and 2nd throughout the day .

Ray and budge put another good sprint in and jumped us up to 1st and then the rain came in and all I had to do was slip and slide to the chequered flag as the winner , so we finished 3rd at sandown and 1st at PI so a good year I think .

Well done, must have been hard conditions to be consistent in down there.

Congrats guys, top effort. Had a guy on my team that has only driven twice in 1.5 years, so lots of penalties for breaking out. Did you guys find it slippery compared to saturday? I was a second of saturday's pace (the yellow mustang that spilt fuel all over the corners didn't help), and a lot more after the rain came. Was good to start the day on the grid from up front. Don't have pics, but i do have video. And there was a pro video guy there that had 4-5 camera's on my car. So should be some good footage.

was there too, Team 13, and Team 14, Z Car Club Qld.
have no idea what the fuck we were doing, sounded like a good idea.

the blue Z delaminated two tyres, and broke four valve springs at 1.30pm, team 13 finished around 22nd, with three cars running at end.

getting it fixed at Les Collins, then to Winton next weekend for the VHRR Historic meeting, on way back to Brisbane.

he he classic quote! - This was our 4th attempt and our efforts really get us to say top 5 and then rely on other teams to fuck something up.

The NSW MX5 guys and us were running 1 and 2 all day and swapped positions throughout the day. I heard they got a 1 lap penalty for passing under yellows just 20m from the green flag, ouch.

Big effort to run from QLD, sorry we couldn't put on some better weather for you

Well done to all. If we can get organised enough I'd love to get our NSW WRX team down there next year. Only one of us has driven PI and he absolutely loved it. Although having spent a lot of time watching bikes there and at my brother's place at Somers it would surprise me if it didn't rain.

I usually trek from Qld for the big Historic meet there, each March, three days of flag to flag circuit, it's worth the effort. Gloriuos drivers track.
    Cunty farken weather, but!
