The glass broke in his hand was my take and he was obviously way too smashed to be blue to do anything, hence his friends/minders trying to get him in the car.

One of my rage triggers people smashing glass for the sake of it, I didnít get that feeling from this

overrated, massively. But that aside apparently she is only booked by Sky for certain rounds.

the Murray walker beyond the grid really impressed me. What an outstanding human being he is.

She's back for Azerbaijan, does a lot of stuff for Sky back in the UK now to fit in more with the 2 kids/etc.

The first breakage was not intentional, proably just too wasted to hold a glass... But he carried on with zero fucks and barely a backwards glance, then deliberately threw the remaining stem in the gutter before climbing into his chauffer driven car. So, hardly "awesome normal person" material in my eyes.

    F1 Shit Talk Thread -

Sounds like the Honda has been over hyped or the Red Bull has a draggy Chassis

If they still had the Renault engine Horner would be bagging the shit out of it with a 4 and 6th place and one of their drivers finishing 1.5 minutes off the leader. Ok if Gasly didnít pit for the fastest lap he would have only finished 1 minute behind Hamilton....but by the same token Ferrari strategists also gifted Verstappen 4th place.

I know itís been a rocky start but I really think Dan made the right decision moving. That RBR ainít challenging for the WDC any time soon. When he settles in to the team and Renault stop sourcing their MGU-K from surjtech I am really looking forward to see if he can develop that French turd.

And Horner would have fair reason to have been bagging out the Renault powerplant - it would have then been 5 years of using it with no real improvement - geeze Renault still can't hold MGU-K together

At least Honda is showing reliability its better to finish then not finish at all - if Honda keeps the same reliability but continues to improve im sure results will follow

Found the below interesting from Sawards Green Note book:

"Some of the other teams didn't have quite such a good weekend, notably McLaren, which had a pretty miserable time, although the misery was not shared by the top management as no-one above Gil de Ferran attended. CEO Zak Brown preferred to go to Long Beach, where he raced a Ford Mustang in the Historic IMSA GTO Challenge, and talked a great deal about McLaren going to Indianapolis. Back in the day when McLaren was successful in F1, I don't remember Ron Dennis missing racesÖ

I wonder if there might be a connection there?"

I'm guessing 0.00000000000 percentage of correlation as Brown doesn't set the cars up or is an aero engineer.

Can't hurt to lead from the front....

I'm guessing Guenther Steiner was at the race, because it's his baby.

Isnít that why they hired Seidl? I donít see an issue with it now he is there. I do agree that their pace was rather disappointing in China.

No wonder Renault is struggling, Dan is too busy partying instead of worrying about the car and his driving.....

You are right - probably won't win the world championship this year - just like Lewis the other year.

agree, really liked his stance on contracts, deal was the deal, just like the transporter, but he made some pig headed decisions re Ferrari

Haven't listened to the AJ podcast yet but I can't imagine it will change my attitude towards him. I spoke to him as a 14 year old (in the early 90's) at a go-kart track at the gold coast and he dismissed me and (basically) told me to fuck off. I tried multiple times to talk to him, every time was the same. I raced against his son (Christian) for about 4 years, he was exactly the same.

I don't care if you are a world champion, when a young kid comes up and wants to have a chat about the race that his son and I just had (Christian beat me every time), you don't just dismiss them every time.

I don't normally hold grudges against people but that prick deserves it....

not sure if goracing had a similar experience too, I know he was in the same races against Christian...

He was an equal douche when approached at the Supertourers by kids and adults alike. By contrast the majority of the other drivers were super obliging, or at least ďsorry guys, we really have to do some shit, come back a bit laterĒ

Glad it wasn't just me. Always thought he just had something against kids but seemingly not.

I have the same attitude towards Wayne Gardner after seeing him tell a 10 year old kid seeking an autograph on his poster to Fuck Off. I'm sure Coca-Cola (who were sponsoring him at the time) would have loved that....
I don't care how bad a day you've had on the track (and it was a bad one, Winton in the mid 90's), you don't do that to a kid.

Heís still the same now. Iíve had a few encounters with him as a ďfanĒ from 1995 and as recently as last year, in person and online, not one of them was pleasant. Really disappointing attitude.

Have listened to half of the AJ podcast. Definitely haven't changed my attitude towards him. Some of what he has said is exactly the kind of person that I saw in him when I approached him and in his son on the track.
