on that facebook link I posted, he obviously has a set, and there's a few yanks piping up that they will sell their's as they only get $150-$200 USD for them, but as rob says, by the time they are here it's still $1200AUD plus clean-up

Do those rack ends you're running have 2 small spacers sitting under the knuckles?

Can relate to the frustration of 1980s supras being off the road more than on. Always had a soft spot for the MA61 but never had the patience as everything is more work. Looks to have definitely paid off, very well done. I like the black wheels equally as much as the Starions.

yep. the angle between that and the LCAs isn't quite right so there is some bump steer but it's not too bad

You should be able to fix the angle up a bit by changing the spacer positions. Put one or both above the knuckle so the tie rod sits flatter?

    cheers guys.

yep, it's very close now. driving better than ever - just need that warm start issue looked at (dale will help out - thanks man) and the rear main seal fixed

Then it's time to enjoy the damn thing. It's done 300,000km... I'd like to add more than 200 on that this year.

Asfor the spacers... It only needs about 4mm changed, so I wil just shave one of the spacers down a little and be good.... Thanks man

Spot on. There's nothing wank or out of place, it just looks textbook definition of purposeful.

Thanks guys! The goal was always a period-correct car - nothing looks out of place from the awesome 80s.

I am tempted by two other cosmetic "Additions"

    - White lettering on tyres - 80s muscle car spec. Seems to work on stock wheels, not sure if would work on black car
    - Silver pinstripe along fold under windows/quarter etc (again, they had them stock) - just to break up the black slightly and add contrast with the wheels.

    Opinions?

eg. has both stripe and lettering. perhaps a bit much...

No and no. It's perfect now. The only thing to improve it would be to park it in my garage.

Correct... both things would take away from the cleanliness of it.

I would go gold pinstripe and no tyre lettering. Or nothing because it's 80s enough already

That looks awesome... but I second the gold pinstripe, it'd set it off nicely!

I think no with the pinstripe, I even think the badging on the back is too busy.

white lettering, I thnk time and place for it, made a comeback, some like it some dont. Only thing could suggest is find a way to Stick it on temporarily to see if you like it, take it off if you dont.

Agreed, no pinstripe, it's alot of effort for not a huge impact imo. More hp instead :-)
