    1gzfe goes in here...

as mentioned in antoehr thread that some of you might have looked through, Al put a 1gzfe into a liberty.

it cut some 11's around the place.

    Al then took it out.

Cracka sold it to me, and i collect it in the morning.

i have room for it in my shorty 40, everyone needs a 1gzfe-tt fishing truck, right?? right??

so this will take a while, the new baby and the house reno will be #1 and #2 with this project #3 in the list....

    plan is:
-body off respray back to stock colour (small bits of rust cut out) this has already started, first 3 panels off at the sand blaster as well as the bull bar...

    -chassis respray

    -rebuild h55f gear bag

    -re-do braking system

-1gzfe tt in with slugs and tooth picks replaced

-Al to do finishing touches (anything beyond my ability - possibly most of it)

    -go fishing

its worth mentoning here that i purchased the first 1gz to put into an ICV, having problems getting concept through qld transport.

more work needed in this space, im upto my 4th submission for build approval. will get there at some point, but in the mean time figured a 1gz shorty 40 would be a fantastic idea.

You'd be off for a fish, just for the noise on the way there if another excuse for a fish was even needed

possibly all the fish will flock to the beach to see what is making the sexual noise up on the sand....

so got a very capable guy to make the adapter plate and possibly the flywheel, will hopefull cost me materials, beer and fish and chips. (and a nice bottle of what ever he drinks) the plan for that is just after xmas, gotta get it all to him and he will try to do it around his business.

anyone got a hookup for 4x4 gear-bag rebuilding?? and also chasing a 2"body lift, i can possibly fabricate up alloy spacers, but off the shelf will be easier if there is a hookup possible??

If you knew ferdie, you'd know that even if this popped the fronts up at every set of lights, he'd still be as camp as a row of tents.

Farken, hadn't seen the bloke for a few weeks, and he shows up at a BBQ at my joint on the weekend looking all Bin Laden. No wonder the baby doesn't like black people.

    happy new year cunts.....

dad visited with the 1gz in a trailer,

we chucked it in to have a look at clearance, will be no issues, will not put it in any better till i have a gear bag and 2 adapter plates.

will be room enough for the radiator and an intercooler behind the stock head lights supports.

eta to running for fishing trip this time next year....

    updates = collecting bits

still need to order the adapter between the th400 and the landcruiser transfercase, then the lot can go in and mounts can be done....

front end is off getting painted

not too much more to report on for the moment

still need bits like the ecu and converter and such

    progress time

its been a very slow work in progress due to loads of ill health from mid 2013 to now...

so i have a a440f auto gear bag getting adapted to the back of the 1gz, ive gotta get back to hervey bay to help finish this off one weekend soon.

scored cracka's ECU from the liberty, im due to pick up clayton's "bag of snakes headers" next time im in brisbane, the body is apart getting the rust sorted, in the process i took the roof off, and to be honest im thinking it might stay as a soft top in the near future, big cage/roll hoop and bikini top, will see how easy it is to live with... cant be any worse than the lotus 7 with no roof??

also stock colour has given way for black for the time being, im being a bit rough and ready with it compared to what i wanted but the need to get it on the road sooner is overtaking the paint/panel requirements.

    oh yeah,

every wire has been removed and a hot rod style loom is ready to go back in post paint, om also replacing all lights/indicators

i have all new brakes and power steering to go on as well, might have not been well enough to do much work, but been well enough to order stuff online and stockpile it all....
