dunno if its been mentioned but shitty cold start can be something as simple as a gummed up IACV

Had the ECU repaired, and a new fuel pump put in and the miss under boost is gone pulls to red line now no issues. Was running the stock pump before.....

Had the AC regasses thank fk it was just that so now enjoying driving to work in ice cold comfort.

Cold start is still a slut and there's no idle up for AC too so yeah.

Update is I got the shits trying to figure out the ISCV power issue and dropped it off to a place I know, a few monies later and it is fixed, albeit the stepper motor is slow but cold start/AC idle up all work.
The master curcuit open relay was wired wrong or someshit blah blah wired to disconnect battery everytime it was off or something, so they fixed that and the powersource for the iscv (relay triggered by ecu) blah blah, it now does the tick tick tick noise when you turn the engine off like all toyota iscv's do.

I'm keen to get another ISCV but they are all 25 yrs old and the replacements are $1400 from toyota.au or ~700 from amayama so I won't be doing that anytime soon as its half way to a standalone ecu and a bosch idle setup.

You can rebuild the ISCV with new bearings and a good clean

Put another used one in, dont get too concerned with the in's and outs of how its wired...
Mine isnt wired up correctly, as in, when you turn it off it doesn't reset to its home position (wired all the power feeds off two relays switched via ignition not via COR so you can fix it on the side of the road with a stick) and it starts instantly no matter the temp and idles spot on even with headlights and powersteering on lock etc

Not sure how I missed this thread up to now, but this thing looks awesome - I reckon white is the best colour for MA61's. This is pretty much how I want mine to look after the respray etc, except with my mega-80's-awesome wheels. And maybe a CF hatch.

As for brakes, I recall mine being pretty marginal on a mountain run even when I had a 6M. There are plenty of relatively straightforward upgrades available, and I strongly recommend the ability to stop!
