Been murmurs about this for a few months now.
    BF XR6 Turbo - 2L Turbo TE - 75 TX Coupe - Atlas SS

    - PSN: rotacoupe

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

Chainman needs to be allowed in to be banned again another 3 more times before it's sold off.

Having never been to summernats or understanding the requirements of the show- I assume vast amounts of concrete/bitumen able to be shredded and big undercover areas are hard to find- this show could be pretty much anywhere right? Most people would be driving a long way to get there anyway so it could literally be in bum-fuck-Idaho and get similar attendance if the facilities were the same right? No one actually likes Canberra, I'm guessing it is there for the same reason as Parliament- so Sydney and Melbourne didn't fight over who has the worst traffic/least affordable housing/most irritating sub-cultures.

I'm guessing alternative venues have been discussed continuously for the last 10 years or so and it's actually really hard to relocate?

Accommodation - for those that aren't camping... which at that time of year rules out anything coastal... where you are competing with normies.

decent infrastructure - shops/workshops/etc and a decent set of local cars/enthusiasts..

Outdoor area - including enough area for the cruise shows.. + the cruise circuit, + like 4000 sqm of indoor air-conditioned vendor/top 40 / dyno space..

oh yeah.. and a burnout pad/grass events/cruise circuit that people don't mind some marks on.. - also parking for spectators.. there's a bit of that.

Yeah a lot of what makes Summernats Summernats is EPIC, would be hard to find another venue like it

Yeah it’s easy to say “Sydney Motorsports Park” for example. But where’s the 20 large empty air-conditioned warehouses for displays?

There’s a huge amount of infrastructure at EPIC that is used all year around by normies and car folk and weird beards (folk festival) such that it’s well understood on how to deal with parking, noise, mass crowds, weather etc.

It would be hard for any other venue to have the mix of facilities, and the experience of vendors, councils, community at facilitating it.

For all the whining people do about Summernats its a credit to the people behind it and EPIC that it works as well as it does..

Highly unlikely that they will get rid of EPIC, unless they figure Canberra doesn't need a showground.

Events are already going to Queanbeyan in preference to EPIC.

Plus there’s a few other grounds they could convert that aren’t in spitting distance to the Choo Choo with prime housing opportunity.

If they are smart they will put aside a place for a new stadium while they are at it.

because EPIC want thousands to host a single day event, while struggletown is happy with a slab of beer.

EPIC is pricing itself into oblivion.

    This.

We took ACT Holden Day to Queanbeyan after getting the quote back from EPIC.
I dunno how they could do it. 3k for the day in one undercover shed.
No access to the grass and that was about it.

    Qbn yeah pretty much

ACT Holden Day is back there on the 29th of Sept this year to

2rismo is awfully quiet. He usually stomps out this kind of hyperbole with snappy 1 or 2 word answers.

Badly worded but how many builders/tuners would there be who would be up for the challenge of taking your crown?

You know how back in the day everyone had a 1000hp XR6T or VLT but few would every put it near a track or dyno.

Ah yes, i see what you mean. Seeing as Dale is the crown holder. Another supercharged machine would need to come up take the crown.
