    Fuel Tank Is in
IP have changed a few rules including pedals, so I sold the top mount pedal box and ordered a Tilton floor mount. This will help with many things including reservoir positioning and not having to make mods to accommodate the adjusting cable
V8 Supercar rocker covers have been restored and looking mint
Suspension arms and crossmember are out for powder coating.
Have been doing many behind the scene things as well.
Over the next few months there should be a lot of progress, I will be employing someone to do the time consuming fiddly things to help move it along.

What diameter are the adjustable rear spring perches and where did you get them?

Very nice BTW. Almost too nice to race!

Olives hold 10,000 kPa or 1500 PSI when done up well. They look like they are pretty good quality.

Someone once asked me if they could use my mower. I said "sure, so long as it doesn't leave my yard"

Ok thanks for info Jason. I was planning on new hard line from the tank as the difference in price compared to braided line is heaps.

    Haha fair enough

Had a bit of a side step with the pedal box, after IP rule change we can now floor mount the pedal box. Which is a good thing because the top mount one was giving me the shits, was having issues with the mounting system and room for the balance cable, it was going to cost me even more money to make it work. So I cut my losses and installing a floor mount system which should be in this week. Also had a issues with the seat height, when the cage was fitted the guy who did the seat mounts made it higher than first measured so it resulted in the harness bar being too low, the steering wheel being to low and my head to high so lowering the seat fixes all these issues, that should also be finished this week.

Holinger has been refreshed and ready to go

Suspension arms and cross member have been powder coated and installed with new bushes along with the steering rack. A lot of work by Supershake to the suspension dynamics to get the best we can out of it within IP regs.

    Bought a new rear wing

    Astra Power Steering pump installed

Rear caliper mounts made and installed

Front rotor hats and dog bones being made at the moment

All the panels, doors etc have been painted with the exception of the front bar, that will be modified to suit the final ride height then a mould will be taken

Bought a NASCAR 2 stage diff and gearbox cooler pump that works off the diff pinion

Managed to get a hold of some very nice V8 supercar headers and collectors........ they are awesome

Serious build is serious, is this the level of car required to get on terms with Mr. Hislop?. I'm guessing that would be the target?

Just watching the IPRA videos, it seems a few cars can now match the big Falcon for corner speed and tyre life but the amount of snot that it has in a straight line is in another league. Steve do any of the LS powered commo's have that kind of straight line?

No, No IP eligible LS can run with a good Yates Windsor. The latest LS9 Block is a good step forward with the GM, I'm spending a lot of time trying to match the Ford engine but not convinced it will happen.
Yes Ray is the target, He is any serious Racers target, I'm not worries about the IRS Commodores, The rear end holds them up regardless or Budget or cheating.
Ray and the Calligary VN are likely to be the fastest 2 cars in Australia right now.

Did the Mustangs come out from the factory with coil-overs on the rear?
if they didn't you might want to re-think using them if you are planning on making it IP legal.

^^Looks like a spring did sit there, going by the base under the adjustment sleeve. The shock tower in the boot looks about the right position too for that. Supashake you'd hope would be on top of any rule interpretations with his past capacity.

on long tracks ray has no competition and I don't see that changing until he retires or someone really steps up their game.
Anyone wanting to keep it with hislop needs not only the car and driver but also the budget to test on closed tracks with data and tyre specialists at hand.
short track is another story but nationals are rarely run on the states short tracks.
    Just my 2 c worth.
But this mustang will be up the top.

Fox body stangs had coils in the rear from factory with shock mounted off the diff housing, very similar to a live axle commo like your car Andy. Steve is well aware of IPRA rules.

This Fox Mustang arrived with Coil overs front and rear, Factory they are on the front lower and rear lower control arms. Its back to factory location with adjustable platforms as per the rules. We Will challenge Ray. A massively experienced Ford factory driver is going to drive and tune the setup. Ray is why we are taking our time as it has to be perfect. Our weight will also help a lot.

The ex Skillender VS will be back soon. Wouldn't think Ray's has too much more snot than that surely ? That thing was a weapon...

New owner can steer a bit too.

VN/ VS are good options for IP if you can't afford to build a Falcon.

Needs a lot more power than that, Its a long way short down the hill than it needs to be. Same speed as my near stock LS with sick Gearbox and light years slower than Ray.
Could be faster tuned as it has a classic ITB WOT tune in it so crap in traffic.
