Flick me some bank details when it gets to 10k and I'll slide the coin across.

Some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses.

I have an address in NSW but bringing the truck back from Melbourne to do slips every year would get tiring.

If it has held full rego in Queensland for 5 years the mod plates should transfer.

You need to call Vicroads with the vin and engine numbers and they will tell you if it needs to be engineered in Victoria.
You may need the mod plate numbers too.

So I've made some inquiries on how to get this registered in Vic for others who are interested.

For the transfer of registration to occur, the car needs to be registered in QLD with current registration with the same name/company that it's going to be to be transferred to Victoria.

Vicroads will need to sight the QLD registration papers (they will look it up electronically as well) to make sure it matches. The girl on the phone ran a check on the plates (got it from the photos) and said the ute doesn't need to be inspected at the office for the transfer, even with the mod plates as long as they are all signed off in QLD, no problems. It will be a straight forward transfer without requiring Victorian RWC, they will produce a certificate for you to de-register the car in QLD, you will just cough up the transfer fees and registration fees.

I asked them if I could read up anything on the Vicroads website or if she could send me some documentation where this stuff is written up but they couldn't.

My 1uz turbo silvia was inspected and passed in Vic by the new owner. I got the impression they don't care so much down there.

As long as it has had full reg for 5 years in it's modified state they are pretty good.

If it is unreg it is a lot harder. Then you need to engineer it in Vic
