I have not had the time to make any wings. These fastbacks have taken up all my time. And this week I am doing a garage restructure, then racing, then go to Europe for a month. I wouldn't expect any wings until Novembeer, Decembeer.

I want to have that red car finished and on the road by the end if the year. With a colour matched red fastback. I am going to install the full wiring loom and ABS from the NB8B I am pulling apart. It will be much closer to a going car then.

    wing dimensions for lightyear...

basically the top 1760mm wing needs to mount mid-span on 900mm centres. however due to the mounting system I'm using, i need each 'mounting-zone' to be 40mm wide to accomodate 2 rows of fasteners (something like the image at the bottom) ...which i assume means we'll need 2 alloy-inserts at each location to accomodate 2 rows of fasteners. on top of that i need end-inserts to accomodate endplates.

for the smaller 894mm lower wing, it simply needs end-inserts at the ends to facilitate end-mounting.

    gooooooo lightyear!

I have some here. You could pop in if your in the area one day. As to making them, I have another project to finish before starting on wings, so about 1 to 2 months away from new ones...

With the fast backs is there now enough boot space to carry a set of track rubber?

I might be able to help with fiberglass work, you in Vic or QLD? as that is what confuses me.

I decided to cut my losses with the fastbacks. I couldn't make them here in numbers as its just too smelly. And I couldn't find anyone else to make them. Doing carbon fibre vac inf has no smell, so I will just go back to that once I get my act together. Making fibreglass things in an open mould is not going to end well in a residential area. I haven't been making anything lately, house renos and building my MX5 has taken up all my time.

I will get back into it as soon as I can (feel like it)..

The boot does have a bit more space, yes. Not sure how it will go with wheels.
