Yeah it's not a bad thing, does have a bit of rust and L/H rear quarter has bubbles all over it from previous repairs and rust in the wheel arch, Car was resrayed 15 or so years ago, think they fucked up and it had some moisture under it, its fairy straight though, even down a cylinder it starts on half a revolution lol,

Bought a VRS kit for it today, $42 fucking delivered lol,

Anyway, A mate has taken the head to throw a valve out of another spare head I had sitting here and clean it all up, throw in some new valve stem seals while it's apart, The VRS turned up today already, unfuckenbelievable they can sell these for 43 fucken dollars with express post! Will see how we go for time on the weekend, hoping to get it back together and running by the end of the weekend, maybe even back on the road next week lol, Trans seems to be super low on fluid, apparently was rebuilt so I assume it's a pan gasket leak

Bit of lapping paste and that valve would've been sweet.

Got the head back for the 25 today, A mate swapped a valve from a spare head I had and sorted the rest out as well, new valve stem seals, lapped valves etc etc, Decided today I'd get the head on and make it run properly, find the box leak or just throw some fluid in the box, change oil etc and take for a quick drive.

That KE25 coupe is a sweet deal. I have fond memories of these, hooning around in one years ago.

    Needs a manual though!

    That storm looked brutal.

Love the KE25 as well. Many fond memories of my brother's mates KE25 that evolved from 3k to 3k headed 4K to a worked 5k with Wolf EFI and 5 speed box in the early/mid 90s (man I'm old, but having aftermarket computer/efi in those days was super futuristic). The 25s were just that bit more special and fancy than the 20s.

Did make it run the next day, but cunt ran on 3cyl's again, although kinda sounded fine with a few RPM's, drove it up the street and seemed to kinda go ok, was misfiring on #3, swapped plugs, leads etc around, stayed on #3, has electronic dizzy, a mate came over, valves weren't closing properly as the rockers were a bit tight, re-adjusted rockers and was mint, drives good, threw on club rego to take it for a drive around, cool little cruiser,

Decided to start giving the engine bay a clean up, pulled some shit out, rubbed shit, put stuff in, that's about as far as I've gotten, cunt of a job. Will attempt to get the rest of the bay done this week although I suspect the other side wont clean up as well,

Figured there was a good chance the thread was stripped out of it and it could turn into a sump change job, Looked at it and a various non related items in my shed for about 20 mins in preparation for the possibility of lifting up the fucking engine and pulling the sump off... finally said fuck it....

Thread seemed fine and undid normal, scratched off half a tube of silicon and found they'd cleaned the sump surface with a something like a small grinder...... and hammer... although it looks fine in the pic, it is not, the gasket they used clearly didn't work well,

Also gave a the bonnet a quick hand polish with just compound, no polish, just to make it look a little more presentable as we were going to cruise to Munchies, bit of rain and not enough fucks to give and didn't even go lol, will get a proper buff tomorrow, hopefully it'll come up pretty well despite the rust spots and blemishes the poor old thing has. Not sure if the rest will come up much better in pics as it's had a quick rub and looks good bu will definitely make a difference in person.

Buffed up quite well, Jake the painter/exhaust guy gave it a hit for me, does look the part, will attempt to get some for of hub cap or something on it and clean the rest, looks good o the drivers side lol, unfortunately the other side isn't as pretty with bubbles all over the rear 1/4 from a previous shit repair and the rust spot on the same guard but still a cool cruiser...

Just need to find some caps of some sort for the wheels and it'll look the part,

Reckon I'll move it on pretty soon, needs a bit of work and I don't have time/money/patience/fucks to give for the rust work it needs etc.

THat's a shame it needs work that rust in the whole quarter?
    BF XR6 Turbo - 2L Turbo TE - 75 TX Coupe - Atlas SS

    - PSN: rotacoupe

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

Is it the paint that has bubbled up or whole quarter bogged up?

Cool little thing, never seen a stock one down here.
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

It's bubbles under the paint, Being painted 15y years ago I'd assume it was a case of "why the fuck would you paint this shitbox corolla, and was a bit of a rough/careless job, there will be rust spots under it all, but its solid on the inside, it's not all rust but it's not beautiful, will require a bit of work to correct, shame, rest is a fairly nice car,

Scrubbed up petty well in the end.

Sold it for 5,Possibly to cheap but I've already been paid lol, It looks nice and the pics don't even exaggerate how tidy it looks but the rear 1/4 is as pictured up further, it does require a bit of work on that and I'm not sure how beautiful it will be under it, bottom of both guards, spot above tail light, boot lid and the bit that always goes under the radiator support, so reality is if they wanted it nice it'll end up a full birthday, can pick up nice 20's for 10-12k (still not sure when that happened) so if they spend 5 on it they'll have a decent car worth spending the effort on.

Bought this fucking thing today, not sure why, seemed like a good idea at the time, super clean and original, 1 super fussy old lady owner, needs proper hubcaps or a big fuck off turbo, hubcaps seem cheaper, I don't even fucking like R31's!
