It actually was used for all my storage, except replace pornos with motorsport videos.

Only selling as I replaced it with a Dell Equallogic unit. If I hadnt i'd still be using it.

EDIT: I should clarify, the MD1200 does not include any disks in it, just the Caddy's/screws etc. However the Powervault DL4000/R620 comes with the 2 x 300gb drives and the 6 x 1TB drives in it which are all working perfectly.

Doubt it had pci-e 16, nor the cooling requirements for a capable video card, plus it will sound like a jet engine. Small HD fans have spin at stupid rpms to move volume air.

This is actually worth buying for the 2 cpus and ram.

yeah this is about half price of what it's worth

and yeah you could use it as a PC if you're okay with industrial deafness after a few days. you could run one of those mining PCI-E extensions that runs over USB 3.0 and PCI-E 1x

I'm glad tempted to buying and rack it at home. Only problem is my last server is sitting in the rack switched off.

Thatís a dog act. Refund his money and tell him to fuck off. Sell it to someone that would use it or list it on eBay yourself

so just a heads up... u probably don't wanna buy this or let any of your friends buy this from that dude even if he lowers the price... he finally picked it up today... and despite a female friend offering multiple times to help him carry the huge server box i packed both units into out to his car ( which he got madly offended about ) he then proceeded to attempt to carry it out by himself, only to fail and drop the server onto the concrete ground...
Might wanna avoid any Dell R620 servers with the service tag 9JQ0232.....
