    Question Replacement drill chucks?

So my new'ish Hitachi cordless drill's chuck is well fucked.
I never really liked how it worked, so would prefer not to replace it with the same one.

The chuck on it is a "Jacobs 4000 Series" 1.5mm-13mm.

I haven't had anything to do with chucks before other than using them.
Can I use a chuck from another brand?
    Any recommendations?

    Thanks chaps.

Anything that's the same Jacobs taper size (probably a #1 Jacobs taper - # 2 if it's particularly heavy duty.) will work - if you can get it off ok.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
