    Wing mounts... material?

Deliberating on how to mount my wing. Im thinking a small swan neck 200-240mm tall, probably about the same in reach.

    What material would Jesus choose?

6mm alloy, laser cut diagonals etc
8mn alloy, laser cut diagonals etc
6mm carbon laminate, solid. Carbon plate Id make myself, so could be a little rough in the fit and finish

6mm laser cut alloy is the simplest, lightest. But eyeball-o-meter looks flimsy, hence 8mn option, but maybe overkill?

Brendan and I made his swan neck from alloy plate. I think it's 6mm, will ask him. I filed the front edge into a round shape, and knife edged the rear. Last weekend I noticed the GT cars had the same thing. I have a couple of pics. I liked this idea best for mounting the wing with the swan neck being sandwiched in the mount that's bolted to the wing.

and? if those are M6 fasteners on the mount, id be guessing the swan neck is 8mm, and the mount itself is 6mm?

If that GT wing has a 6mm fastener, the swan neck looks more like 10mm to me.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
