And two broken arms, although I imagine taking photos of broken arms would be difficult because well, your arms were broken

Let me know when you're heading out and I'll roll the Kat out... will be interested to see how it goes...Originally posted by Unfinished Project View PostOut of interest I ran 11.2@119 on the big GSX the other night.
Shocking 60ft, would go an easy 10.90 with a good 1.70 launch but I had trouble getting it off the line and was running high 1.8s and even a 1.9 on one pass.
I'll take it out again in a month or so to get that 10, feels pretty quick on a naked bike
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

thats not a bad time for that mph.Originally posted by TommO View PostUpdated for me, managed a 10.4 @ 138.8mph... got a personal best MPH of 140 too, so I'm stoked all around.
Time to get the bike tuned I think, and maybe my number plate will stop ending up coated in fuel every hundred kms haha

hahah... that hurts, same as the 750.... damn GSXRs with good riders, always so fucking fast..
excelboy: improvement has come from a few things, seat time mainly I reckon as it's all about the launch, as soon as I click 2nd I can't do any different. Maybe the MPH improvements came from the hump on my new leathers, hahahha

12.456 @114mph with a 2.2 60foot.
I really need to get it on a dyno and sort the jetting.
Oh, and actually practice launching it instead of riding it off the line."Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. I'm hoping to get the big GSX up from 11.2@120 down to 10.5@135 with the latest changes. Down low it is already a bitch to launch so can only imagine it will be worse now... and with 250+kg an no fairings at ~220km/h she'll be pretty blowy so 130's is FAST! No interest in extending the wheelbase for better launches, this is all about having a unique streetbike and not about fending up with something useless and drag-focussed.
Real world it will be a rocketship, and fairly unique (I count around half a dozen worldwide).
Interestingly I had thought it was fairly short wheelbase, but having checked it is actually longer than all these other buggers:
GSX1400 - 1520mm
Hayabusa - 1485mm
ZX12R - 1440mm
ZX14 - 1460mm
GPZ900R - 1500mm
Which along with the weight explains why it is so stable under brakes and hooks up so well out of corners. Still, the funny COG and massive amounts of torque make it very hard to launch spiritedly, I find it hard to do even a trafficlight-type launch on the strip much less a hard drag launch.Originally posted by 350stato100% agree with Shifty
