Tim- the way to fix that is to restrict the amount of oil getting to the core in the first place surely?

It's a journal bearing turbo.
The new Liberty/Legacy turbo has the turbo mounted low at the front of the engine and uses a scavenge pump. It has a small sump as shown in this pic.
It would still be a good idea to restrict the oil feed though. SUbaru plain bearing stuff still has a ~1mm retrictor.

Took it for a few laps of the block, fuck me drunk it's fast (who'd have thought).
Even in second and without a decent tune the bike is keen to carry the front, which is saying a lot when you consider the rake, wheelbase and massive lump of an engine at the front.
Despite fitting a restrictor it is still smoking, and there's a couple of minor oil leaks, so I didn't get too carried away... but first ride is out of the way and promises a lot.Originally posted by 350stato100% agree with Shifty

Ok well it's on my gf's lptop, which conveniently shit itself last night. Push the power button and it lights up and hard drive spins up, but that's it... nothing on the screen, no actual HDD activity... she installed a printer driver earlier and it went heaps slow not long after, then didn't turn on the next time.
Don't imagine a bung pinter driver (or even a virus) would be likely cause such issues... so probably a coincidence?Originally posted by 350stato100% agree with Shifty
