    not for dirt, for road/motarding
mate has one, tank of a thing, mate had to get the suspension redone cause he was too heavy, he loves the bike and its never skipped a beat but always whinges about how it corners when we do a single trail.

This is my old thing. '04 EC300

Bought it in 2009. Don't ride enough to justify having more money sitting in the shed. Still does a decent job.
I like that ~$500 did a entire rebuild including main bearings, rod, piston and gaskets.

I bought it as an upgrade from this.

I bought the KDX to see if I was still interested in riding 10 years later after spending my childhood abusing an XR250.
Heavy thing, peaky power compared to the gasser and still down 10hp. Silky smooth engine though, had balance shafts being the SR version.

Anyone ridden the KTM 'Freeride' range

The older I get the faster I was, I don't ride anymore and having an EFI 08 TE450 Husky in the shed is a bit silly. Thing is I wont ride it anymore as I find it too much bike for me these days and far too heavy now I ride MTB's

Kids are showing signs of wanting a peewee, I wouldn't mind trundling along behind them around our block, but the Husky is not really suited to that either. I'm guessing a 2 stroke is also not ideal as I'll be fouling plugs all the time (otherwise a 200EXC might have been ok?)

Freeride 350 seems to fit the bill though? docile, light but still a cross between enduro and trials? So could still hit the trails if the urge returned?

I have however it was only a test ride on some back streets for 20mins or so. It was the 4 stroke, wanted to take the 2 too but it wasn't available.

Seems like a decent bit of gear, not quick but its a torquey little fucker. It'd pull away from 30km/h in 5th without any issues. Feels very light and is easy as to ride, lends itself well to standing up. Footpegs are back a bit so sitting down feels weird and the seat wasn't really good for it anyway. For slow riding or hard technical stuff I can see it being brilliant.

The 2 stroke is supposed to be very 4 stroke like in delivery and doesn't have a band. Supposed to have a touch more torque than the 4 to.

Can't say a lot more than that from the quick ride I did but it would have been enough for me to buy one (spent the money elsewhere instead), would be great at the sort of riding I do, being mostly hard and tight single in pine forests.

Only issue I would have is limited fuel range.

Fuck the freeride. Too much of a compromise imo.
I did 200 hours on my 300exc and didn't foul a plug once.
I suggest a 200exc. Nice and light and plenty of low down torque, more than you would think a 200 should have. Electric start from 2013 onwards. On the pipe they are still plenty fast.
                  Nope

My cousin had one years ago. Was a decent bike to ride. Felt comfortable, which was good change from all the other bikes we used to ride.
Did drop it hard picked up rode home. Did some repairs cost me a fair bit but still rode well afterwards.

I'd buy another one if I had money

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

                      I had a freeride 350

Cunts laughed when I chose it over a wr450 for the same coin

At the end of the ride every cunt wanted one

With dealer flash they go just fine, low top speed but they pull well from low rpm, it's an awesome bush bike, small tank, but I never ran out, it's very economical

                      Would buy again

When I was un unemployed school bloke I used to drool over these and the 200's when they were new. I reckon they look good fro a 90's bike.

I had this for many years, stock as a rock. I was waiting for the stock and awkwardly bent bars to bend so I could replace them and they didn't. Fifth gear
                        never ended.

Meh each to their own. A freeride would suck for my sort of riding.
I see them as a bike to buy your no pics to get her into dirt riding.

But I know your riding millsi and there would have been a good amount of WOT in your riding

My point being if I am going to trundle around behind a peewee, it'd never get a good run - doesn't that foul the plugs on a 2 banger?

I'd need to sell mine first anyway Anyone interested in a 2008 EFI 450 Husky?

If you're putting around you can run it on 50:1 or even 60:1
No. Driving an esky along the footpath will be the end humanity. This must be stopped.
