Nice work and congrats on that result. You're a patient person.
My cooling system has -4 bleeds at the back of the cylinder heads that bypass the thermostat and merge into the top hose, very stable temps and no boiling at shut off.
Thanks, but actually they got our time mixed up with the Dean Lillie driven GTR34 of Steve Ka's. We did a 1:31.56. We lost 8/10th's on that lap with a long brake pedal and some oversteer so could have been right up the pointy end. I'm sure other teams could have gone faster too though. Still, we've had zero testing and a motor that is less powerful and peakier than last year. Happy enough with the result all things considered.

I look forward to the day when you drive it (all the time) and enjoy the fruits of your journey.
We're doing a club event last weekend this month. Also at the GP layout. If it's not too hot we might see an improvement...and I'll have my first drive for a year. Going to be more than stupidly rusty!
Thanks mate. Funny, I scrolled through the replays of the live stream the day after and didn't see the car at all. It was like we weren't there. Must have missed something. Hopefully we'll be there next year. The good engine is still being made so that will be a bit gain. Hope you get yours sorted quick smart. It's only money... ;-)
Thanks for that FFB. Actually looks not unlike something I've seen elsewhere. I am definitely going to look at doing something like this on the next motor. Perhaps on this motor too.
Ahh right. Didn't recognise the engine reference. Yes, there's plenty of merit in one of those motors. As it is, I have the 16v motor coming along. A mate's one in Sweden just produced 672whp / 878Nm tq @ 1.5 bar. That's pretty impressive. Of course you can't compare dyno's and in different countries but we just made about 470whp at similar boost with the 2.5 8v and would be capable of getting into the 1:29's with some track time with this motor. So with the 16v we should have a good chance of showing a decent improvement by next year.
