So far i have only taken it to the track once:

    13.9 @ 108mph, 2.6 60ft (9psi boost)
    14.4 @ 112mph, 2.9 60ft (11psi boost)

All runs done on $66 185 60 14" tyres (long story).

Should get along alright once its boosted to 20psi & if thats not enough i've got the N20 ready to go.... but for the moment its sitting while i get the garage ready for it.

        oops my bad, fixed now.

sure felt faster than 108mph though :D

Somewhere in the low 12's and 120+MPH would be great, but only time will tell.

It's certainly how you make an ET Pulsar sit in a garage for an extended period of time. :p

Well I for one have never seen it broken down on the side of the road, so I guess you could say it's extremely reliable?

Its never let me down, even survived a trip to the drags :D

I really need to sort out some stronger axles / CV's, thats pretty much why its sitting around for the moment, just dont have the time (and its not even at my place yet ).

As with many of your stories its the things you dont mention that hide the truth...it went to & from the drags on a trailer FFS:rotflol:

                      haha classic post

I didnt even mention how it got there or left?! just that it performed flawlessly whilst there.... many people trailer cars to motorsport events, so its nothing out of the norm.

IMO trailers are a good thing on a new setup (concidering my above concerns re- axles/CV's), i would have hate to be standing next to a broken down car on the side of the freeway a long way from home to save $50 on a trailer hire

Whats the go with the Maxima 'box? Is it stronger? How 'easily' did it bolt up?

I did however drive it to the dyno competition that i ran the car at earier in the day, that was about the limit of 'trust' in my workmanship haha.

have clocked up around 800km of street duties though, so it seems to be holding up well..... just need a couple of weekends to get a few things i want sorted done and it'll be sweet

It really depends on who you talk to re- strength…. I have not had any problems yet.

                              Few plusses are:

50 series box allows the use of the GTiR clutch/flywheel & equal length shafts.

Input shaft is around 1/3 larger than 32 series & all internal shafts are thicker

Seems to also have a much more solid casing, so my guess is it would resist flex much more so than the 32 series.

Also takes 5L of gearbox oil, so everything is very lubricated (and keeps heat down).

As for mounts, its all different than the 32 series, the box has 2 mounts for the LHS chassis rail (and one front and back)….. its really well secured.
