    Finally pulled my finger out and gave this bloke a call today. You're right, he was very friendly and helpful! The plan is to collect my big pile of parts, throw it in the back of the wagon, and take it to him next week to have a look at. Hopefully his advice doesn't amount to "cunts fucked, bin it", but we shall see.

        Pretty sure I'd go turbo 1UZ before a 3.4, but who knows.

        I'm currently debating whether I should try to squeeze a 2JZ block + cylinder head + assorted parts into the boot of my Soarer, or wait until I can borrow a ute next week. The former would definitely be more amusing if I can pull it off, plus I'm impatient. Also it would be the world's first Soarer with dual 2JZ's!

                      I recently saw a grey import VVTi 2JZ-GTE + auto package for $3800, thought it was a bit expensive at the time but doesn't seem so bad now.

                      Oh and I had another look at that 1GZ I was looking at a while back, price is down to $3500 now. Hmm...

                              take out the steel caps and porting.... 6647? that was jack brothers for my engine.
