Be cool Clayto. measuring the engine bay is a rough guide, you have to actually drop the thing in there to know where any problems might occur. It's usually not where you think.

My suggestion would be to borrow an LS1 and drop it in. I will borrow a VK45 for you. :D

Could mount a quaddie Audi style though (shouldn't affect handling at all - could mount turbos between engine and firewall)

Most people have an LS1 just laying around that they're happy to lend out to people don't they? I'll check with my neighbours this afternoon......Who'd have thought test fitting an LS1 would be harder to arrange than test fitting a VK45 :knock:
