So there's a decent stumbling block in the LS1 idea. A dude in the states doing it at the moment tells me that reason he has to convert to a steering rack is because the block hits the steering box. And there is not enough room to move it forward or back enough to alleviate that problem. An LS1 is very narrow acreoss the heads, but very thick through the block. So that is a pretty significant problem, yeah? Converting to a steering rack has the potential to create 50 more problems than it resolves as well. So Al and I are just tossing some ideas around at the moment is all
