M117 fits. I have hunted down all the info to fit one....
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
That's crazy talk man! Besides, all that shit is sold.
So there's a decent stumbling block in the LS1 idea. A dude in the states doing it at the moment tells me that reason he has to convert to a steering rack is because the block hits the steering box. And there is not enough room to move it forward or back enough to alleviate that problem. An LS1 is very narrow acreoss the heads, but very thick through the block. So that is a pretty significant problem, yeah? Converting to a steering rack has the potential to create 50 more problems than it resolves as well. So Al and I are just tossing some ideas around at the moment is all
But your steering box is on the other side, so is this still relevant?

Yeah, nah. Expensive to buy. Expensive to build. Not very powerful. No one does a manual conversion adapter. No go fast bits. (i just described a Toyota V12, didn't I! Except they're cheap to buy.)
Marty had that 560sel for peanuts... Cheaper to buy whole car!
I bet old mate had issues with something else if a 117 can fit easily

Not a problem, just needs to be an unleaded one...

LS1 isn't a no-brainer, just because the internet says it is the smallest engine in the world and fits in any car doesn't mean it's true. Mercedes steering box is the devils work and only a 60degree engine beamed down from heaven can combat it.
2JZ's are the old hotness.
