          Bit of an update:

I've since sold the Throttle Bodies and the Haltech to free up some much needed funds to at least get it running again quicker. I might have to revisit them at a later date.

Picked up some new tyres for the wheels

215/45R16. Should be a nice upgrade over regular street tyres without going to the much greater expense of R-spec tyres.

I've also been quite concerned about how I am going to get the speedo working. The new gearbox does not make allowance for a speedo cable. After pulling the instrument cluster out, I decided fuck mucking around, I'll just build a new panel with new instruments. But geez they can be expensive and finding reasonable looking stuff in metric units is hard. To that end, I bought a new speedo and tach from Gauges, Custom Gauges, Tachometers, Speedometers, Shift Light, Pod. You can customise the faces how you like.

They arrived today. I think my colour selection is a little off as the red needle is a little hard to see over the orange. Oh well! They'll be complimented by some VDO Gauges for Fuel, Oil Pressure, oil Temp and Water Temp.

I have sold off my original Sportline shocks and have a new set of Bilstein B8's (Sport as you know them) on the way. I also have some different springs coming from Germany.

I've been mucking around with bits for the new shifter, I'll try and get some pics soon.

Just get a shift light and do over 140 everywhere and not being able to see the needle won't matter.

I like the idea of those guages. Been looking at some Autometer ES electric guages lately. Be interested to hear some feedback on the quality of these.

                  Picked up these tonight.

They are a compromise on what I was thinking of getting. They were cheaper and more comfortable and a bit heavier than the alternative one piece race bucket I would have had to get to fit my fat arse in. I had these seats in a S14 200sx I had and with a harness offer quite reasonable restraint.

nice seats (SR3?) and I like the gauges too (shame I already spent 2k plus on a poxy Autometer Ultralite Procomp set)

I have the same seats. Love them. Only issue is the bolster wearing and the seat bum sagging a bit. Any way you can tighten it up again?
