Assembled and plumbed the fuel system this arv over a few beers. It's all ready to go.
I had trouble finding a .5" pre filter for the fill pump. Ended up ringing one of the local parts guys and he says they can do a Z200 with .5" fittings.(Z200 by description is a commodore generic fuel filter with 8mm fittings). I wanted a Z200 for the main efi filter anyway so I says, yeah give me one of those and a normal Z200. Sure enough I get 2 Z200's as described. Will post part number if needed.
Here's the assembled back half. The Z200 8mm filter is up the front on the chassis rail.

Might do some wiring now and fire it up. That would be a good motivater.David Fraser - Automotive Historian!

1/2" hoses are into the fuel pumps only LargeMuz, not the whole system. The pressure and returns are 8mm.
The tank hasn't copped a hit at all in 40 years so I figure it should be ok. And no, I am not gong to lower it any more. Unless some cut superlows come up on sikcrown.net forums.David Fraser - Automotive Historian!

Did a bit of wiring this weekend. Wrapped up the engine loom and fitted it to the engine. Changed over the manifold for the painted one and shoved the wiring through the firewall. Then ran wiring for the fuel pumps to the rear and hooked up the pumps.
Today I shirked some fatherly responsibility and continued on with the wire up inside the car. First I stripped the original MS55 loom and removed all the unnecessary connectors for OD control, alt external reg, coil and some other shid I can't recall. Then I pulled back the main power wire, starter wire, alternator wire, oil pressure switch, temp guage and alternator light wires and rerouted them to the glove box area so they can be connected to the engine loom which now contains all these connections.
Wired up some relays and a fuse box and hooked up all the necessary attachments. Threw a jump pack in the boot and my daily with some jumper leads behind it and checked for power and relay operation. All worked ok so plugged the ecu in and checked the main relay is working(ecu controlled). All good so cranked her over and fired it up. Starts, idles and revs no problems. Needs cooling system and auto trans fluid before any further running.
Good enough reason to spend the rest of the arv in the spa drinking beer though.
Engine bay wired, still looks fairly clean. You can see the ignitor on the firewall, the wiring runs up the plug valley.

Stripped out MS55 loom waiting to get shoved back through the firewall. It just contains the wiper motor, horn and headlights now.

ECU wiring. It'll all sit on the factory shelf that runs across the car under the dash, normally used for doilies and bowls hats. Test light is the oil light as I have no instruments atm.

Here's the instrument cluster with autometers mounted. Did this a few weeks ago. Looks ghetto but they aren't going to fall out.

So yeah, it runs, woot. :h5:David Fraser - Automotive Historian!
