I'm guessing that thing is just to hold the chute pack and the actual bungee cord will attach to the diff or chassis somewhere under the car, depending on whether Mr Dave prefers to have the rear wheels lifted off the ground or be pulled into the wall by a crosswind

yeah, its just for the pack, I am making up an anchor point this weekend that will attach to the towbar mounting point, which will make it nice and low without pulling the wheels off the ground
