        Engine is from 1950.

Parts of it came from TK, so I suggested trying to make a warranty claim. Dave is soft.

I don't really understand how something that is clamped down with the pressure of the arp studs can leak water out without pressure in the system. fkngrr

I must of missed it - exactly where is it leaking from? externally from the side of the head?

from looking underneath it looks like it is leaking from the corner closest the booster, but I need to do some more checking to make sure its not running down from somewhere else into that area.

need a real fine RA for cometics to go on dry, the vast percentage of block/head combos are nowhere near it because it takes too long and most machinists couldnt give a fuck.

no idea what happened in your situation, mine will be getting a liberal coating of something.

hm interesting. not being a holden v8 guru but isnt that entire bottom rear of the head/block just an oil drain area with no coolant passages? strange also that it is pissing out with no pressure, wouldn't have thought that was possible!

either way thats a real bummer been following this thread for what feels like years (oh.. wait) and was super keen to see it have a run this weekend.

to leak with no pressure is fucking retarded though

                          true.

hows the manifold to head alignment? could the angles be slightly out and the inlet gasket aint sealing?

did you goo the inlet gasket where it sees water at the back?

I think it's because 308's are old and shit.

Could be running out of the manifold gasket down the head gasket line. Is the block decked? Was the manifold machined to match?

My expert Internet diagnosis would also be intake gasket leak.

Also have reused cometics, even on a 308, and it worked. Did hylomar fuck out of them though
