Yep, horsepower costs money no matter which way you go about it.

all the expensive stuff is required for EFI too doofus. Carb was same price as injectors.Originally posted by JZK25 View PostI am trolling but you have to remember that Dave's fuel system cost 11ty billion$. Saying you bought a carby for $800 and claiming victory is forgetting a lot of expensive shit that goes with it.
Just to clarify, I am trolling.

No it's not. You have some fag fuel pump that cost as much as a pallet of 044's.Originally posted by BoganDAVE View Postall the expensive stuff is required for EFI too doofus. Carb was same price as injectors.

So much ironicals at adding single fuel injector to carburettor because carburettor no capable of fuel control.David Fraser - Automotive Historian!

Why no can BRPV to sort shit?
Jetting up is poo.
PS - you'll be suprised what that basic baby stroker short motor will take, the stock chev rods are just as tough as A9L's, the TRW slugs are tougher than the casties I used.
Methinks that motor will cop 700-750hp with a good tune at least in the short term.
Just remember - boost to make power, not timing! 32 deg total with 1 deg out per psi in for E85 will be safe, so at 12psi you'll want 20 total. You can probably give it more & make more power, but at the expense of reliability, better to add boost.

all the methods for doing BRPV in carb are a bit shit, that is why single injector and PWM (ala scotties hyundai), switched on at 3psi, not sure if ill do it before or after first tune. Other option is a solenoid and nitrous fuel nozzle, which I already have.
That sounds good on the timing front, don't want to push it. I am planning in the short term to put about 15psi into it, so it will be interesting to see where that gets me, given the heads are pretty 'big' (didn't flow bench them though) and the camtech cam.Originally posted by Turbo YodaI <3 Hamster

There's no way I'll knock the build on this car, as mentioned it's being built to what Dave wants and that should be good enough for anyone.
However, it better be faster than a 12.3 or it will mean it's open to some awesome trolling! :DTurns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

No, you can't troll. You were one of the people that Dave counted on his 1 hand. There's no way I'll knock the build on this car, as mentioned it's being built to what Dave wants and that should be good enough for anyone.

Good thing he said "built" instead of "drove". I may have built it but I got the job of blowing it up and doing the slow runs.Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons
