The first piston had around 14 pound boost on it.
Did a couple of 4th gear pulls and fine 10.5 afrs.
Went for a launch / powerskid and smoke from under the bonnet and out the breathers.

Not running an intercooler but also found traces of oil mist from eBay special turbo on disassembly that would not of helped and found dizzy was a little bit loose and may have moved on launch.

Still running new short in with around 9.8 comp on 98.

Seriously looking at methanol injection.

it is 800% tight.

Last rebuild cost about a carton of piss plus my time even used 2nd hand pistons.

Plus a spray can of paint so it looked good.
Painted it red so it went faster

So little Fucks were given.

engine bay looks empty. I put the new springs in it today. No broken springs, pushrods or lifters. Going to whack it back together and see if it explodes.

in other news,
radiator blocked and engine got hot and broke a ring/ringland. Solution? put double valve springs in it so it can take more boost, then reassemble.

meh, compression tested fine, best to lean on it and leave no doubt either way

in my quest to do everything 2 times (or more) I have had all the top end stuff repowdercoated.



Was stripped by 'blastcoat' at and then coated by wallaby powdercoating. Fucking stoked with what they did for $150, would recommend, they aren't super quick but they are cheap and nice finish
