the problem i had with the heaters i tried was they couldnt sustain any heat more than a few inches from the outlets.

the fans "blew the fire out" so to speak.

Im no heating dude, but a 250w electric heater wouldnt go anywhere near the amount of heat a hot water/factory fan deal will provide, i suppose a smarterer could work it out from the fan cfm and temp drop across the core, but honestly who gives a fuck i suppose.

I didnt bother doing anything in the end because it all got too hard and convection from the engine/trans keeps the car plenty warm lol.

is there anything using electric demisters from factory?

id love to know how well a proper designed one works.

Real early Landcruiser has electric heater.

I haven't used mine in real life yet but i put them on a battery and there not that great but ive mounted them close to the underside of the dash and the piping is staight up and short and hot air rises so im hoping they'll have some effect.

Are they rare? I want something nice and compact like the 12v ones that crack has in his thread.

My experience of the thing was trying to keep warm in winter in one, they're not brilliant - and would be hard to adapt, but was reasonably warm if you didn't have the fan on full tilt. Electric heaters are gunna need more that 250w to do much.

i dont really care if it works, just avoiding another defect. Will be a piece of piss to fit them given the vent setup.

just looking at the photos dave, is there a 2nd wastegate? or are you only bleeding 1 bank with a 50mm gate?

There is another wastegate behind the left bank log, was too akward in the space near the turbo

i gave up on an elec heater. the one in my thread is a coolant fed one with a 2 speed 12v fan integrated into the back of it.

ok, I am not going that far, just going to run the fans that will do nothing.
