yep, progress is slow, lost motivation after missing powercruise. Also, everything is fucking expensive and so it takes time to save the cash / ebay shit to pay for everything done. On the home straight now as I have most of the expensive little shit sitting there ready to be fitted.
Wiring is the big concern at the moment, really not looking forward to it. Going to try and patch the current loom together.
The block is going down to Jack Bros this week to get redrilled to suit turbo pattern. Once this is done the engine will go back together and dropped in the car. After this is done I can then bring it home and start on all the fiddly jobs to get it working. The good thing now is that everything that we do makes the car go back together and look better, so you see the payoff as you start to knock the jobs off.
The diff goes in this weekend, and the wheels go on, I can't wait to see what they look like.

Hey make a list with 10 small jobs and 5 big jobs, when you come out to the shed each time read your list and think about how much time you have and look at the list, rather than just looking at it going 'this is fucked' and tackle a small job.2017 Ford Ranger XLT (Jeep Wrangler recovery vehicle)

this was my list from Nov 5 - There was way more things to do on the list, I've almost got it all done!
I take great satisfaction in putting a line through things 1 by 1.
Electrical:
□ Wire Alternator and charge warning lights
□ Wire Starter Motor and 12v to starter
□ Wire Line Locker Solenoid to body wire + test
□ Fit Body Earths to Engine Block + Gearbox
□ Wire O/D Switch and other gearbox wiring (gear selec indicator?)
□ Fit Fused Relays to New wiring **
□ Wire N20 Solenoids through cowl to dash
□ Complete Wiring under dash and tidy up
□ Check all wiring to gauges + sensors
□ Mount + Wire Boost Control Solenoid
□ Test Gas System Purge Pedal Arming Bottle Warmer
□ Check Fuel Pump wiring + tighten
Suspension:
□ Fit Camber Plates
□ Remove KYB Inserts and fit stock Z31 Inserts
□ Refit Struts, check all front end bolts for tightness
□ Get Wheel Alighment
□ Lower rear end 5-10mm
Brakes:
□ Fix Driver brake line + Rear Diff Brake lines. (Lynton)**
□ Fit rear pads and rotors
□ Measure up rear handbrake cables + have them made**
□ Bleed + Test
Mechanical:
□ Mount Oil Cooler **
□ Plumb up Oil Cooler
□ Make Radiator Lower mounts
□ Tighten all N20 Lines and refit cowl
□ Fabricate Throttle Pedal w/ microswitch (Y31/Y33?)
□ Fit Tailshaft Loop + Tailshaft
□ Finish Trans Cooler lines and tie down loose hoses
□ Mount Shifter Cable and Pro-Ratchet Shifter
□ Bolt Converter to flex plate with bolts made
□ Fill Gearbox (Dextron 3 or Tranzmax Z)**
□ Fill Diff with Oil **
□ Fill Oil Cooler + Engine with Oil **
□ Refit Speedo Cable to Gearbox + Cluster
□ Get exhaust fabricated 3
(dump at diff + pee shooter?)
□ Refit Inlet Manifold Hat
□ Chop and refit intercooler pipework
□ Weld Air Temp Sensor Bung into I/C pipework
□ Seal Up + Tighten N20 Fogger Fit 50hp pills
□ Check and Tighten all I/C Pipework + Clamps
□ Make Wastegate vacuum lines (firewall to gate) -4 **
□ Clean and refit all braided hoses to engine
□ Fill Engine with coolant
□ Tighten Turbo Banjo Fittings + Water lines
Interior:
□ Blank up shifter hole in floor
□ Route Shifter Cable through floor
□ Refit Centre console
□ Brace Stereo Din Plate
□ Fit Heater/Demister Piping to 12v Hair Dryer**
□ Refit + Check all Seat Belts + Front Seats
□ Re-make + Re-cover rear Parcel Tray to suit speakers
□ Blank off Exhaust Bypass Switching
□ Paint Guage Facia Black (document wiring before dismantling!)
□ Anchor Gauge Facia to Centre Console.
□ Refit passenger door jam plastics.
Fuel System:
□ Flush all fuel lines from tank.
□ Swap Fuel Rail Merge from Right to Left
□ Shorten -8 Fuel Feed + tie to block
□ Set Fuel Pressure
□ Attempt to plumb Engine bay Fuel Pressure Gauge**
□ Check Fuel Feed is tight
□ Check Fuel Return lines are all tight
□ Set Static Fuel Pressure
□ Make fuel breather hose longer**
□ Blank Off Original Fuel Filler hole
□ Stick Unleaded Fuel Only sticker behind number plate
Body:
□ Remove and repaint front Apron
□ Refit Wiper Cowl
□ Repaint Wipers + fit new blades
□ Modify Bonnet and refit (to clear fuel reg)
□ Roll Rear Guards
□ Refit Front Bumper
□ Wash and Polish
□ Fit Headlights, Blinkers, Grill, + Apron
