    E36 Bmw Ls1

I thought i'd start a thread to show the progress as it happens to my E36.
Car starts as a clean 1993 2dr 325i. Motor and box will be getting pulled this weekend. T56 has been ordered, and will be here on friday. Still deciding on what LS powerplant to use. Options are used LS1, rebuilt/crate LS1, L98 6.0, LS2 6.0 etc.
I called the local guy who does mod plates and he is happy to sign off on it.

I will be making templates of all the parts, or even 2 or 3 of some stuff. So if you are serious about doing this yourself, drop me a PM. To get stuff water/laser cut, it is normally only 20% more to have 2 done (Depending on item), so i can reduce the cost if i make multiples.

Pics of the car as it sits.

"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

I'd go a crate LS1 and wack a wicked bump stick in it to liven it up. Should chuck a decent skid.

1392kg with 22 ltr of fuel, 8 ltr oil + coolant. So approx 1350 Tare.

Std it has a 51/49% F/R weight distribution without driver and 50.5/49.5% with driver.

Since the LS1 is both lighter and shorter, and also the T56 is heavier and longer, it should help shift some of the weight further back and more importantly lower. In saying that, the exhaust i will be using will be ALOT lighter than the OEM bmw one, so it may end up being 50/50.
