    '99 Supra RZ

Thought I'd start a thread here about this thing.

It's a 1999 Supra RZ. Pretty standard for the time being save for the rims, cat-back and pod filter.

Have some Cusco Zero2 coilovers coming (thanks MR-PUNNANY) and a Greddy 3-Row cooler on its way. Also a new front lip spoiler.

Plans are for a big single conversion (TO4Z / GT4094 / GT42 - dunno yet), some cams and a ViPec plug in ecu.

    Anyway, here are some pics:

Looks like a very tidy example. Nice.

      Very nice indeed!

Put one of those proper rear license plate holders on your shopping list though. Then it will be even better.

        Cheers.

Yes, need to do something about the gaping hole in the rear bar for sure.

Rims are also on the 'to do' list. Smaller diameter, wider and lighter than whats on there now is needed.

I actually like the rims, they suit the car.

Looks wise they are awesome... I really love that style of rim...ultra classy.

Problem is with such low profile tyres the cornering capability would be a bit comprimised. smaller wheels will perform much better no doubt.

Personally I'd keep those for the street use and cruising and get some track hack stocky rims with semi slicks for when you want to go fast.

                          Thanks for the comments guys.

The wheels/tyres are 20s, 8.5(245)f / 9.5(285)r. I'm actually super impressed with how they grip wet and dry although with the stock turbo setup power delivery is pretty progressive. The rears scrub on the guards under load out of corners though and that shits me. The new coilovers should help a bit and i need to do some more guard work.

Ed, ive never seen a newer RZ here either. Plenty of RZ-S's about though.

Carbon steering wheel is a factory RZ only item

My old housemate had a Dec '98 RZ that he used to claim was the newest RZ in the country...lately theres been a few '99s come out. Im yet to see an '00 though.

                              Have seen a couple '02 SZ's though (Or SZ-R??).
