Haven't shut the bonnet yet but should be no issues. The throttle flange is not welded on yet.

Beatiful work. Might be a silly question but are those retaining clips strong enough to oppose induction suction?

Should be fine, the filter is fully framed so basically cant suck through.

From what i understand 20kgs difference, as to how that was measured (ie, accessories) im not sure - either way its fairly light (which is ultimately why i went VQ30 over 2JZ - good 100kgs lighter in that respect)

The retaining clips are stopping it falling out, not falling in.

                      Love your work!

Another possibly silly question: could the inlet top have been flipped around 180°?

Is there a blow off? Room for a recirc?

one way only, and no way id get a bonnet on it other way around

yep, its mounted directly under the intake pipe

Had a quick play around with the plenum this afternoon, smoothed welds and painted wrinkle black... came up looking almost OEM.

Also slipped the driveshaft in, fits absolutely perfectly (with around 10mm slip in the slip joint).

That looks great with the wrinkler black.

I passed you guys, going the other way. as I was heading up the coast yesterday arvo.

yeah going to continue the theme throughout the rest of the engine bay, no shiny shit - OEM finish, wrinkle black or satin black....

going to sort out a small plastic shroud for the air filter so that will disappear into the engine bay as well.

Al has done a great job fitting it all in, just need to make it all 'disappear' now.
