Its been a busy couple of months so really only starting to get stuck back into this - Exhaust manifolds and dump pipe now wrapped.

About 6 hours work there, amazing how long it takes to do properly (with complete coverage) - should hopefully hold back Mr Melt.

Those logs look quite good. I think on a straight 6 making big power a log can cost some power and spool. But in a v6 such as this with well designed logs it wont cost a bee's dick.Originally posted by BabalouieGeez we're a bunch of softcocks...we have a 911 and we're obsessing over non-functional ducts and indicator colours

Skids are a while off yet, just finding it hard to find a clear weekend to get stuck into it.
Thanks Clayton!
Summit out of the US (shipping is absolutely bugger all)Originally posted by crack View Posthey psi999, where did you buy that wrap from and does it want to unravel itself once cut (i.e. any loose threads that you can keep pulling until it all comes apart)?
To help you with your order, of what i bought this is what i ended up using for the above:
15m 2" wide
18m 1" wide
Cost wise around $180
And no, the weave is pretty tight. Provided you loop the end over when it is tied off there is no way for it to unravel.
Another plus of this stuff is its WAY less toxic to use, I’ve used exhaust wrap in the past and the fibreglass strands break off everywhere. This stuff seems to hold together really well.

No treatment, the instructions for this stuff specifically states no paint to be used prior to wrapping (which is different from all other wraps i've used in the past, and even the cheaper lower temp rating DEI wraps)
This shit is worth every cent, I had the pipes in the vice hanging almost all my body weight off the wrap getting the loops nice and tight, weave didn’t distort and kept its shape nice – really good to worth with.
