So got this out onto the street this afternoon, ended up doing about 200km's of road tuning (in 30deg heat so about as hot as it'll ever see :D)

No leaks, no bangs, no rattles & still handles well (feels like no weight has been added at all) - everything worked as it should.

Tune wise most cruise is now sorted - idle will need a fair bit of work but we seem to be making positive progress (so many idle parameters in Nistune, once its sorted it will be perfect).

Initially we weren't going to tune for boost but ended up seeing 14psi - think its going to go OK

Oh and the turbo sound fucking magic as it spools and gearing is just about perfect to rip through the gears to keep it spooled

In love with the 350Z box, perfect ratios and feels so positive... just all round awesomeness.

Will need to go see OKE020 about a couple of mufflers though, its loud enough to wake the dead.

Just ordered one of these bad boys from the US:

The SGI-8 Tachometer Interface Unit is designed to allow a factory tachometer to function accurately after performing an engine swap to an engine with a different number of cylinders or tach signal. If you are swapping out a V-6 for a V-8 and you need to recalibrate the tach signal from the V-8 to make it read accurately on the factory V-6 tachometer, the SGI-8 will do the job. The SGI-8 is capable of recalibrating tachometer signals for nearly any engine swap combination.
Which will recalibrate my 4-cylinder tacho for the 6.

This will complete the gauge cluster which so far has a working speedo, all engine warning lights, ABS, Airbags... sweet :D

Also plugged all the tyre, trans & final ratio into a gear speed calculator (shifting at 7200rpm):

                              1st Gear
                              (mph): 42
                              (kmh): 67

                              2nd Gear
                              (mph): 69
                              (kmh): 110

                              3rd Gear
                              (mph): 98
                              (kmh): 157

                              4th Gear
                              (mph): 125
                              (kmh): 200

                              5th Gear
                              (mph): 159
                              (kmh): 254

                              6th Gear
                              (mph): 201
                              (kmh): 322

So thankfully I'll be spared 5th gear at the drags

Have been driving the car around a bit, haven't broken it yet :D

Still working on the tune, have got the idle sorted at around 920rpm which pulls around 0.85v on the MAF so about as low as it'll go without running out of scope (0.80v), but with the cams its about where it wants to idle anyway.

In the process of making it a lot quieter, this arrived from NZ:

3.5" Varex, i went this style as unlike most other varex mufflers this particular model doesn't have 'VAREX' blasted all over the tip - giving the game away far too early.
