      You know it

No point in putting this shit off so finished the install lastnight.

Kicked it in the guts around 6am this morning, started straight away. Still have to change dwell (apparently around 3.5 is good for these coils).

Have now got to decide which way to go with boost control. I have two options available (both currently installed) 4-port MAC valve controlled by the ECU or stand alone Blitz ID dual solenoid controller.... positives and negatives with both.

Boost control via ecu. Set and forget. You don't need to be fiddling with it while driving

Nutsert would be good, but captive studs on this job.

That is certainly one of the positives of ECU boost control though external boost control is also a handy thing. The blitz is a pretty simple thing to change boost levels once programmed.

The boost data from the Blitz unit is pretty handy as well (as well as embedding an additional overboost failsafe).

Cant decide, both are installed currently...

blitz is a very good thing. tough call.

I have an Eboost 2 in my car already setup in my car. It doubles as a boost gauge and has peak recall. I am reluctant to remove it as works so well.

It's a rage thing. Best not to question it.

Use the Haltech (doesn't PS1000 have engine protection features - does that include boost monitoring?) and give me the Blitz.

It makes therapeutic noise and you can do it while driving, so convenient.

Another job finally ticked off – oil catch can.

$400 in bits so I’m not surprised I left it until later in the build…. LOL not really, I just had no idea where to put it.

Ended up settling on an off the shelf 2L baffled catch can and had OKE020 modify it slightly for my purpose. Tucks in nicely in about the last mostly unused space in the engine bay…. 2 x -10 inlets & stainless mesh filter.

                              Previously occupier of said spot:

                              Installed:

Just need to rehome the boost control solenoid, drop in some new sparkplugs and its dyno time :D

was 80% of that $400 in the fittings?

You chip away at this thing...but everything is always done so well. I wish i had that level of patience.
