    HJ LS1 BW Turbo Build

Got the HJ off a local bloke and have had it sitting in the shed for a while, finally decided on a LS1 motor instead off a 355 originally. Using a TSI powerglide and eventually fitting a 9" .
Plans are new rods/pistons/valve springs. then skids
Fabricated the engine mounts myself using the original rubber V8 ones, and used a colorado H3 sump instead of paying $1100 bucks for a CAE or similar one.
Next on the list off things to do is the turbo manifold, will be a log style made out off 40&50mm NB pipe and butt weld fittings. And intercooler pipework out off 75mm aluminium pipe.
Few pics, this is as far as I have got.
Excuse the shit mobile pics and dust.

It will remain in standard trim. I want a sleeper. Even keeping the bench seat and hubcaps on this, paint needs another clear coat and a rust repair done on the front cowl but thats not a priority at this stage, bonnet has slight crows feet I think that can stay!!.

Excellent, I will be watching this build.

Plan on doing the same (minus turbo) to my HQ early next year.

Noice! Do us a favour and go into detail where possible.

I am considering doing a LS1 build in the not too distant future. I've done a bit of reading up on forums and the like but there seems to be a tendency to gloss over the build.

Some of the info i'd like to see is around:
                  the wiring
                  power steering lines
                  throttle cable/throttle body
                  turbo manifolding clearances etc

all of this plus, how does an LSwhatever bolt in where a 253/308 was before? mounts off the shelf from somewhere?

                          Sleeper idea = awesomes.

Air con (if you are using it)
starter motor arrangement (apparently L&R starters?)
                              trans choice
trans tunnel mods and measurements where they don't clear.
