Ta I have a set of them sitting around will keep in mind .Found a problem the fan relay has a fuse Incorporated in it. The fuse was not put in properly and was put in down one side of the terminal . This was causing a intermittent fault .Originally posted by ALLMTR View PostAu fans should fit with the new rad and are 3500cfm iircOriginally posted by bigmuzReally who cares- you go to the pub and come home with no money smashed. Did an upgrade yesterday on brakes with a 929 booster and master cylinder. The master cylinder has a 1" bore and the duel booster is a duel 8"9" . The upgrade fitted well with only minor mods to strut brace. The reason I change the set up was the std Mazda 15/16 and 8" booster was with that Oem set up the pedal was long and minimal feel and was basically shit. With the upgrade it has short pedal and a heap more feel.

Hey Paul, with the cooling issue, are all the factory seals around the front end, radiator support panel, under bumper and engine panels still in place? (I'm not sure if you're running the stock radiator)
If they aren't, that can have a huge effect on airflow through the radiator. I would have thought that the stock radiator should handle the ls as it's HP rating isn't massively higher than the 13bt, and the turbo core water jacket pumps a fair bit of extra heat in.Adjustable cam gears for 1FZ-FE now ready for sale - 10 degrees advance/10 degrees retard. Suitable for all variants of 1FZ-FE.
(adjustable scissor gear for changing separation angle between the intake and exhaust cams coming soon)
International sales welcome - PM me for pricing.

There is no cooling issue now I was in traffic with almost 40 degree heat and temp was perfect (93c to 97c ). I have no panels in the front but I'm going to do it for sure and the radiator is a aftermarket as well.Originally posted by Supercrown View PostHey Paul, with the cooling issue, are all the factory seals around the front end, radiator support panel, under bumper and engine panels still in place? I refitted all of my under panels and seals after I'd twigged that was the main issue and it was sweet.
Is this a pretty mild ls at the moment? is there much weight difference between the simple ls motor and whole turbo rotor assembly (ie rotor, turbo, cooler, cast dump etc)?Adjustable cam gears for 1FZ-FE now ready for sale - 10 degrees advance/10 degrees retard. Suitable for all variants of 1FZ-FE.

The ls just has a maffless tune , it's hard to know what to do because the car drives so well now being stock . The motor has done around 40k , I was going to stroke it with cam later on next year but not sure if worth it , I'm happy with it now. Cuntandweld may want to shed some light on this :-) . This is my daily and is a bit of fun at the tracks and a show or two on the weekend. Nopics still won't drive it but is warming slowly to it . The weight is about 50 kg heavier with ls (look at earlier post ) .Originally posted by Supercrown View PostI refitted all of my under panels and seals after I'd twigged that was the main issue and it was sweet.

Top work in actually putting in the hours and completing the conversion. it always seems that cars like this rarely get finished - let alone be a quality enough job to be used as a daily.
If it were me, I'd probably go for a decent cam and valve springs and leave it at that. A friend has an 04 Monaro, and in 05 he went a reasonably chunky cam, new lifters and valvesprings. It's a daily and hasn't missed a beat in 7 years, and makes 260 or so rwkw. Fucking easy reliable hp. (anyway, just an observation Paul - not trying to tell you which way to go. :-)Adjustable cam gears for 1FZ-FE now ready for sale - 10 degrees advance/10 degrees retard. All good you make a good valid points ! There are easy hp gains with not too much expense, you must be happy now I'm going to look in to this now before my tune ;-) . I'm upgrading diff as well soon to a 8.8 IRS Ford centre . I'll build new mods on old red so when Mazda oem diff lunches I'lll bolt new one in as well as turbo 2 cv's .Originally posted by Supercrown View PostTop work in actually putting in the hours and completing the conversion. it always seems that cars like this rarely get finished - let alone be a quality enough job to be used as a daily.
