Babs - my cousin has just picked up a nice 160k km blue exterior/white interior 964 Carrera 2. He has a 2 year old and managed to convince his wife that swapping the Volvo wagon for a Porsche was good to use as a family car!"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower." - Mark Donahue Penske Porsche 917

Well my 964 replaced a sedan...I figured that from Monday to Friday, there is just me in it, and on the weekends I'm usually driving the kids around in the van anyway :DJapanese Nostalgic Car - Dedicated to classic japanese cars

Snot - win. One of my mates has a 911 with a baby seat. My misses has seen it and I keep reminding her.
She wants to replace the golf with a wagon of some description as it is not big enough for rugger duties. This would make my wagon (WRX) somewhat redundant.
Surely as long as my car is capable of the occasional kid tow, all else it needs to do is take me to work and the gym!

The kids I haul to Saturday sport are 8 and 5, and they both fit into the 964 easily (esp since it doesn't have a passenger airbag, so my 5yr old can sit in a booster in the front).Originally posted by Cplus View PostSnot - win. But they drag shit into the car with their footy boots, so I take them in the Tarago instead :DJapanese Nostalgic Car - Dedicated to classic japanese cars

The only proper leak I had was the power steering housing, which is now sorted. I have a bit of a weep on the chain box covers, but it's mainly just a mist rather than a drip.Originally posted by Stix Zadinia View Postlol, retensioning the head studs is an awesome idea! unless you own a 2.7 where they set them when they assemble it, and then never touch them again
do you have any oil leaks on your return tubes? if so can you hurry up and do a picture guide on changing them so i can do mine?
I spose 2.7 mag cases are a bit softer, so maybe it's not a great idea to fuck with it?Japanese Nostalgic Car - Dedicated to classic japanese cars

Easy enough for me to say as I don't have kids, but I remember growing up with the family in 80s Suzuki Swift/Barina. We all survived. These days people seem to need Land Cruisers!"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower." - Mark Donahue Penske Porsche 917

There should be a photo in my thread somewhere of my 3.2 carrera with 2 x kids seats in the back - easy........well squeezyOriginally posted by Cplus View PostSnot - win. One of my mates has a 911 with a baby seat. My misses has seen it and I keep reminding her.

(one booster, one baby seat) Has its downsides though, I can never go for a drive without having to take both the kids for their own spin around the block when I get back. They love it. Family of 4 in a 80's 911 is a sight to behold. Might go camping next
