    Hq ls1

    Thought it about time that I put a thread up of my build.

    Putting an LS1 into the HQ to do skids and have fun. Will be a stock engine to start with, 4l60e and a hilux diff with 4.11's and full spool.

    Have ordered Prostars (6 months ago, never deal with VPW) and a hilux diff. Both should be here within the next 2 weeks.

    Changed the sump to rear hump using a F-Body sump from the states.

    Anyway no more talking and now pitures.

      That's awesome! The Q looks in great nick - do you mind telling me what you paid? Factory V8 or 6?

            Thanks. Paid I think about $1600 about 4 years ago from some guy that was desperate for money. Only thing that I have done is get the rear qtr fixed, lower it and paint the roof.

              I am doing the conversion myself I suppose you could say, but I am buying alot of parts of the self for it. Still tossing up about making the mounts or buying them. I will decide once the motor is resting in the bay.

                        I used the CAE mounts. They sagged after 20,000km...

                            a mate has a hq monaro with a built LS2 and gt42 it is probably one of the more menacing cars ive been in...

                            ran a 10.5 @ 133 last weekend on street tyres

                            i very much approve of this project not as much fasts as my mates but definately would be fun for skids
