Was that any of you comedians on here that prank called me about my add on gumtree for the SV90 wreck? If so lol, thanks brightened my day considerably.

hah, spill. and have thought about it, spent over a year on leather seats scrounging to get a/c compressor in vndore, wasn't that bad and with a bit of thought, hardly use mine anyway? fuck that headache off.

any other decisions made on it?

nah no more serious decisions, just plugging away at some small and cheap jobs. Wiring at the moment. Decided it would be a good time to tidy the 304 loom up........ fun times. :-/
need to run some new fuel lines, feed and return. tossing up between alloy and steel bundy tube - see thread in general.
prob just go steel bundy tube, im highly unlikely to ever require any more fuel than 3/8th line can provide.

i ran 121mph with a single 3/8" alloy line and stinky holley blue.

          youll be fine.

edit: i know theres a thread but the vast majority of the fuel line is protected if you run it inside the sill, the only bit exposed is where it climbs the front rail and the bit over the diff (if a rear feed tank is used) so id be happy enough with alloy line, slip some heater hose over the exposed bits for less rock breakage.

trans crossmember gets fun to install/remove with 3/8" and bigger lines, grinder trim on the crossmember fixors that.

So someone just bought and towed away my HSV wreck, so 304+TH700 ended up costing me $250. Good value, will buy again!
Onwards and upwards this jigger is now wired back up and ready for battery to be installed and then should fire up – on aerosol cans
Tailshaft next week and perhaps trans xmember if I get excited enough to whip out my grinder and welder.
…then install exhaust manifolds, radiator, shifter, brakes, inner guards, fuel tank, fuel pump mehhh……
List is getting smaller (still fucking huge though)

Re: fuel line, thanks greenhj, good tip on trimming the xmember will do that while it’s out.

small update, haven't done the t/shaft yet, severe lack of fundage at the mo.
              Put the radiator in though.

if it's anywhere as easy as the buick mang, at least it's only a hundred odd bucks and a half hour of bitching and spanners.

about why i gave up on old shit for now - doesn't often cost that much but fuck they're time consuming pricks...

Ugh.. so took me less than an hour to install the VN loom with stacks of wires, relays and shit into the car but it’s taken me MANY hours so far sorting out the factory wiring to splice into the VN loom…. Three fucking wires is all I need to hook up and it’s turned into a complete shitfight – admittedly I’m fixing a few more things along the way than just three wires though..
Should have just started from scratch, suspect would have been easier and a much better end result.
Oh well, nearly done now anyway.

This is the type of crap I’ve been up against.. NFI what this person was thinking when they did this….

so here is my yearly update.
                        disassemble is disassemble.
procrastination wasn't doing anything to make the paint look better or magically repaint it - decided to do something about it, fuck it. I fucking hate panel work but hey here i am. All hanging panels are coming off, will be needing lots of advice in the coming months.

304 is sold. will worry about a driveline later once paint/panel/interior are at least up to some sort of ok condition.
Plan is for it to be at least painted and driving by octorber ... we'll see how far that blows out lol.

this is a serious early contender - flat black epoxy primer shizzle.
we'll see how excited i get.
