Pretty keen on getting an old 911, it's the main reason I've not got on the 86 bandwagon.

As Babs mentioned - if you are lucky the original spares kit will still be in the car under the boot carpet infront of the spare wheel. It should have the pulley tool and a spare belt.
Once you get the car, buying a bunch of usual spares like belts, filters, plugs/leads, dizzy caps etc etc is very cheap from Pelican'Lifes pretty straight without twisties'

By all means enjoy putting around in a museum piece but why is it necessary to slag off other cars and their drivers?Originally posted by Asteroid View PostPretty keen on getting an old 911, it's the main reason I've not got on the 86 bandwagon.
Some of them are actually going to do what all real performance car owners want to do, punt their car around a circuit and find out just how good they and the car are. Besides it's great fun, that's if you really do enjoy driving a performance car with no speed restrictions.
Anyway, sorry to interrupt the love in, cheers

I too could have gotten on the 86 bandwagon, I couldn't be happy with it cos it just as good a copy of the 240Z as the 911 is..Originally posted by Asteroid View PostPretty keen on getting an old 911, it's the main reason I've not got on the 86 bandwagon.

I find that type911.co.uk or design911.co.uk are usually cheaper than Pelican (which tends to sting you on freight). Just remember than at the checkout, the pommy VAT should be zeroed after you input an Australian address.Originally posted by Uncle View PostI think he drinks the Red.
Yeah Boxer it's very much on the list. I've just got to remember my log on to pelican now.Japanese Nostalgic Car - Dedicated to classic japanese cars

When do you need to spare belt by? If you cant find one in time and you want one - I can Express mine (genuine OEM and new) down to you and you pay me back after you have your order doneOriginally posted by Uncle View PostI think he drinks the Red.

True, but should get him out of trouble for the drive homeOriginally posted by itsnotagsr View PostMight be a bit old if its the original!!
Fair point, I have found that if ordering a bulk lot from Pelican it is still cheaper, but one offs the UK freight is indeed far betterOriginally posted by Babalouie View PostI find that type911.co.uk or design911.co.uk are usually cheaper than Pelican (which tends to sting you on freight).
