How much do you think the conversion has cost you?

I haven't kept an accurate tally. I think somewhere around $10k? I've pretty much replaced everything that was mechanical, suspension or steering related.

Well it would be a lot higher if I had to pay for all of the help that I have had with the fabrication and wiring. Lucky I have some good mates!

I don't know how many times I've said that I'm close to finishing this but it's almost ready for a test drive!

I replaced the water pump, fitted a bleed to the radiator cross-over pipe, and fitted the bonnet. There's a bit of extra bracing that needs to be done to stiffen the bonnet back up but everything is oh so close now.

I even gave it a wash!

Sooo..... I took it for a test drive but no skids. The tailshaft is just touching the tunnel when the car squats under acceleration so I need make a bigger tunnel extension. The rear springs are also soft as buggery which isn't helping.

I've also got some pretty serious concerns about the front end geometry. It hasn't had a wheel alignment yet but I suspect bump steer is going to be a big issue.

I guess this stuff was to be expected!
