Bought some gear for the build.
First was master cylinders. Even with manual master cylinders the front reservoir for the brakes, and the clutch reservoir fouled with the intake.
So I bought some willwood remote reservoirs (had to buy it with master cylinders though, so now I have the willwood master cylinders and willwood reservoirs to offload) and built a mount for the reservoirs in pretty much the only place they would fit. I still have to shorten the hoses of course.

I also bought the maddat steering linkage. It is about 5mm away from the bellhousing at full lock (hard to see in photo), so i'll just remove some of the rib from the bellhousing.

Cheers Marty, getting a little annoyed at the slow speed of the progress, but been away for work a bit lately so it's hard to find the time.

Very nice work. It makes our GT40 progress look extremely slow (which it is).

A couple of mates at BANFAB let me have a go of their tig welder, but I was no good. So I ended up having them weld up the radiator for me. Essentially it was a 90deg bend on the top water outlet, 90deg bend on the top of the radiator and a straight section on the bottom of the radiator.

Just need oil filter, oil and work out a few of the wires then I can kick it in the guts and see if it still works.

You reckon yours is slow! Mine is sitting same as you last saw it under a tarp in the yard. I've given my brothers in law a month to get his Hilux done so I can get it in the shed.

Started the Datsun today. First video has some really bad idling, took me a few minutes to realise that I had forgot to plug the brake vacuum line from the manifold. As you can see in the second video it idled great after I worked that out.

Apologies for the poor video quality, this was only format that photobucket would accept that I could compress too.

Just click on the photo for the video.

Yep, got to work out where to put battery, fab up lines, work out where I need brackets and build an air intake/filter. Than I can pull it out again and start on final body work.

Cheers mate, not going all out like your build, have to remind myself that this is a quick and cheap build all the time. Easy to have it snow ball.
