Also got my headlight buckets and bulbs mounted up. Went to wire them up only to find my crimpers can't get around the H4 connector angle plugs. Job for another day now.

Hope you're planning on replacing the fluid fairly regularly then...Originally posted by garvice View PostThey have a filter but not a bellows as standard."Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" The only way you tell is when the fluid boils and the pedal goes soft... or the trapped moisture corrodes stuff. either way - just bleed it regularly and you'll be rightOriginally posted by garvice View PostI haven't tested the hole in the top top see if it's straight through but even if it is it's pretty small so can't see much moisture getting in. Not to mention the reservoirs are massive. With manual brakes I think I'll be able to register if the fluid is gaining water.

- Plumbed in the new brake reservoir
- Installed the Toyota Altezza windscreen wiper motor and extended the altezza loom. I searched for 5minutes for a proper pinout/wiring diagram of the factory 1600 motor before saying, stuff it the altezza motor is newer, so spent the next hour and a half making it fit. It has the motor sticking out the opposite direction to the 1600 motor and required a slight modification of the bracket to make it fit nicely with where i had installed the fuse box. Also ended up welding the arm onto the motor shaft as i stripped the bolt trying to press fit the arm on. After all that, it actually works rather nicely. I did have to also press out one of the wiper mechanisms (drivers side) shaft as it was seized. Probably should give the mechanism a coat of paint, but couldn't be bothered at the time.
- Fixed the temporary mounts in the tunnel for the brake lines.

That's pretty trick, wheelchair DC motors i take it? I like that the engines are hooked up before the steering has been finished.
Love the kid Kirkeys too

Just ebay dc motors. Only 500W a piece. Needs some 250cc engine or something.
Yep seats came up alright, thought about adding lightening holes but they're already pretty light.
Steering, they'll steer with there right foot. Seriously though, it has been done, pending a leather wrap on the wheel (still waiting on ebay), but have left out until I get the accelerator pedal back in.

Almost 2 years (20.5months) since I last worked on the datsun. Got out to the shed today and did a little work, no pictures yet.
Fixed the drivers qtr panel mounting flange (welded new nuts on/fixed rust) and fixed the passengers qtr panel rust. Also noticed the passenger side qtr had a lot of bog do needed sine reshaping.
