    Jaguar X350 XJR

And that's pretty much it for now.....

I've got a set of 21" Arden alloys down in the cellar (10" rears, to take 295's) but that's for next year.
Plus a long list of further mods to get the most out of the AJ-V8...

The goal is 600HP, and it's very acheivable. Our idol is a guy in Belgium who is making kits to fit a Kenne Bell 2.6L twin-screw unit onto the AJ-V8 in place of the Eaton. This, along with some other tweaks has seen 631HP at the crank with his 4.2L XKR (524rwhp).

But that's still a long way off for me....

Great post and I like where you've taken the Jag - what were they thinking with that interior?

Nice writeup and a nice result so far with the car! I was kind of expecting that 'fixing' the interior was going to involve changing the door inserts and possibly the seats, not the woodgrain (aside from the wheel) though hahaha. That black vinyl looks like its worked a treat though.

Every few months I find myself checking out earlier XJR's on carsales, probably not a good idea though

Thanks. Depends where you drive, Germany vs. Oz, i'd take Germany everytime... 100 km/h speed limit, uh!

Thanks. The thought of being raped in a car park on the side of the highway made me shit my pants.

                              Or worse!
The leather looks magic in the flesh, but the wood ruined it. It's better now.
                              Skid pics to come eventually.

Half the price in England as here. And a fraction of the price as in Oz.
I bought a right-hooker so it can come with me when the time comes.

Thanks. The only tricky part was the airbag cover on the passenger side, had to do that in situ.
Rest of the pieces came out easily, took a few hours all up.

Thanks. If is was a very dark grey woodgrain it would have been OK, but the orange clashed with the red so badly...

Thanks. I'm trying to keep it tasteful. Well actually get it more tasteful than it was.
The red leather (actually called Cranberry) looks wicked in the flesh, don't let the pictures put you off...

The reason I bought this one was the interior. It's pretty rare to find.
I always knew the wood would go. I have Piano Black wood in my other Jag so it was always gonna happen.

There seems to be a heap of XJR6's (95-97) for sale in Oz, but I didn't see any of the V8 X308 XJR (97-02) for sale recently, which are a great buy when it comes to performance. The later model X350 like mine (03-09) is tougher to modify.

Thanks to all for the interest. Probably sometime next year this car will be heading down under.
