            The 'tow' was the owner simply pulling out from where it was parked. I nearly told him to forget it and walked, but I had driven ~200km to go get it. As I said it was a deceased estate, the guy was getting rid of his son's collection, so didnt want to be too much of a cunt. And he was a big help getting it onto the trailer.

                  So - Bench front seat or buckets? If a bench, is there a belt for the middle front? Where they lap sash front belts by this stage?

                  Those late model 6's seem really big compared to even the old v8's.
                  I sort of wonder if the old mans XR6 EF engine would fit in an Early Bird engine bay. If he goes to sell or trade and gets offered stuff all I might be forced to find out! Though a 250 2V would be a better fit, it seems.

                      xt's came as 6 cyl - 221ci or 188ci or v8 302 windsors.

                      plenty people put 302 and 351 clevos in them as well

                      cool project

                      i got my XK ute rego'd (vic)- full of dents and crappy paint and a bit of surface rust so i guess you would be right

                      CSH; was at a car show and was some VW beetle - with rust and patina - including lichen.

                      guy had a sign ;

                      'do not touch the lichen'

                      worried people would destroy his hard won moss build up

                            I think most of the lichen has died due to the change in climate from where it was.

                              Bench with just two lap sash - non inertia reel type.

                                I reckon i could fix that door to a usable state. Matching it will be impossible if you replace.
