Quick little test fit of the drivers side door with the old piece of glass in it. Fitted the new seal, door clips and foam pieces and played around with the window alignment which is more or less spot on now.
Was really rewarding seeing it with the door on, haven't seen it look like a car in a very long time.

Still need to sort out some decent door glass and finish off the other door but was a productive little session.

I want to keep it a little bit old school, plus we have to draw the line somewhere.
Sure the car could have an IRS rear end, coil overs, adjustable tops, rack and pinion or adjustable steering column. But im pretty happy with it just how it is

Few small little updates on the Celica.

            1. Managed to source some washer bottle squirter's as these didn't come with my plastic trim piece, they are a little old school but have cleaned up and will work. We have also ordered a wiper arm repair kit from overseas and started to clean up the arms, should work well with the Camry wiper motor.

            2. Got a GM purge valve advised by a few mates based on plug availability, this will work in conjunction with the factory charcoal canister and be controlled by the ECU to open and shut accordingly for boost. This should keep the authorities happy along with the factory PCV Valve for all that save the polar bear stuff

Next up is to assemble the passenger door and hang it on the car, then finish off the A/C unit in the car.

I just noticed the polar bear! hahaha

Is this the new pointy finger?

We had to do a bit more work on one of the grill mounting brackets to get it square, these are already extensively modified to clear the AC Condenser etc but it does look a lot better now. Also cleaned off all the old paint on the GT Grill we got ages ago from Canada and painted up the front end in a metallic charcoal sort of colour.

Have the aftermarket headlights on order now, so we can finish all of that off and smooth out the beaver panel some more.

Will you paint the intercooler or leave it aluminium?

Yeah the cooler and everything behind the grill will end up black

                      Love me a smooth beaver.

                      Where is the AC condenser?

Little more progress on a few small jobs, we made up a push pull cable from a choke cable so we can still use the fresh air vent in the car in conjunction with the new after market A/C unit. Basically just copied the original cable that was originally a slide system, but works perfectly and is neatly tucked away under the dash.

The repair kit we got from eBay for the wiper arms was poor quality, could not get it to work and just busted easily/did not clip together. So we binned it and have found another kit to try.

Had a local Celica friend off forums swing by and check out the build over the weekend and was nice to take a look over his 28. Also managed to fit up the after market head lights and play around some more with the panel gaps and alignment. More to do but slowly getting there.

Got another repair kit off ebay that was much better than the first one we tried. appears to be from the same seller so not sure what happened there. Random cat also decided to watch/help.
